We took a call at 9 AM from a customer informing us his Brian James Plant trailer had been stolen overnight from his work yard to the north of Maidstone in Kent. We sent a signal to alert the Automatrics MTrack Tracker system which had been fitted to protect and help recover the trailer in the event of theft. Kent Police were informed the trailer tracker was due to connect at midday. The system connected as scheduled and reported a GPS fix approximately 5 miles to the south of Maidstone, in what looked to be some sort of junk yard. We sent a “What 3 Words” location to the customer and this was relayed to Kent police. The customer approached the area with Kent police who called up additional officer support to raid the site with four police vehicles in attendance. The customer waited outside the site and liaised with our team who continued to monitor the stolen trailers latest position receiving updates every 15 seconds. Police gained access to the site, located the trailer using the W3W position and wheeled the stolen trailer back out onto the main highway for the customer to collect. The police continued to search the yard and question those on site. Such a BIG thanks to Kent police for their immediate and well attended response on this recovery operation 😊
