At 14.30 we received a call from a hire car company advising they had a BMW 318 stolen after a burglary from one of their clients overnight from Cheadle. The Automatrics MTrack had logged the last vehicle trip from 23.20 the previous evening travelling 8 miles North from Cheadle towards Manchester. Unusually the vehicle had been driven along several residential routes prior to being parked up after a journey time of approximately fifty minutes. The vehicle final position was validated and live data was passed to the hire car company who had a local representative attend the vehicle location with Manchester police to confirm the vehicle had been found. The stolen BMW was transported by the police recovery team.
