We were contacted at 09.00am by an owner reporting his Honda Quad bike was stolen overnight during a burglary in a rural location a few miles West of Shrewsbury. We sent a signal to activate the Automatrics MTrack on its next connection and in the meantime we could the 03.15 AM heartbeat GPS position close to Condover Golf Club South of Shrewsbury, some 12 miles away. This position was relayed to West Mercia Police and the customer who went to the location but could not find the Honda Quad, they could only see what looked to be ATV wheel tracks in a field. The police waiting for the Automatrics MTrack to connect live at 11.20 AM, the new position appeared no different, we tunned the GPS on its accuracy to see a position some 30 metres away over the road in a separate field. We contacted the customer to return to the location with the police to the 3 metre What Three Words (W3W) grid reference ///smirking.foster.simultes. The stolen ATV was then spotted deep amongst the undergrowth of hedges at the North end of a small field. The customer loaded the work machine onto his trailer to return it to his yard, some damage to the steering lock and the replacement of the missing number plate would be required and this we understand should be within the Automatrics £200 minor damage / recovery cost coverage. Big thanks goes out to West Mercia Police in returning to the location.
